Summary:
The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration between ULPGC, through the Division of Corpus Studies and Applied Linguistics of IATEXT, and the technology company Sparkling Tech Solutions S. L. to investigate and validate the use of the Spanish language of emotions as a potential early digital linguistic biomarker of cognitive decline. The project involves integrating linguistic activities into digital environments based on video games and artificial intelligence, combining the analysis of linguistic, emotional and behavioural data. It also includes the design and validation of activities to assess the use of emotional language in Spanish, the development of digital challenges focused on emotional literacy and cognitive stimulation, and the analysis of experimental results. This collaboration aims to connect applied linguistics with artificial intelligence and neuroscience, fostering interdisciplinary research and knowledge transfer.
