B-Centre

Access to B Centre

The Institute for Textual Analysis and Applications (IATEXT) is part of the European research infrastructure CLARIN ERIC a B-Centre, a category that distinguishes institutions providing fully operational technological services, language resources and digital tools accessible to the research community. This accreditation requires compliance with international standards of quality, interoperability, digital preservation and open access, which are periodically evaluated by CLARIN.

B-Centres constitute advanced technical nodes within the network. Their main function is to host, maintain and disseminate language resources and analytical tools that can be used by researchers from different disciplines, particularly in the Humanities and Social Sciences. Within this framework, IATEXT also maintains its own repository, through which it provides the scientific community with datasets, corpora, applications and other digital materials, ensuring their preservation, documentation and accessibility in accordance with international best practices.

For researchers, this status offers several important advantages. It allows them to work with well-established technological infrastructures recognised at the European level, increases the visibility and impact of research projects, and facilitates the deposit and dissemination of their own resources within the CLARIN ecosystem while ensuring their long-term preservation. It also provides access to specialised tools, technical support and opportunities for collaboration with other centres in the network

Being recognised as a CLARIN B-Centre is an acknowledgement of the institute’s technical and scientific strength and of its commitment to open, high-quality research. Participation in this infrastructure places IATEXT within an international network of collaboration, fosters knowledge exchange, and helps ensure that its resources—available through the CLARIAH-IATEXT repository—achieve greater reach and visibility both within and beyond the academic community.
