The State Research Agency, within the framework of the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2021-2023, has called for aid for 2021 Technical Support Personnel (PTA) contracts. 

 There is 1 jobcomputer engineer job offer for the University Institute of Textual Analysis and Applications (IATEXT) of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

 Duration: 3 years.

 Start: Summer 2022

 Workday: Full time

Annual remuneration approximately: 24,000 euros.

Requirement: Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering.

Carmen Márquez member of the new Board of Directors of the Academy of Performing Arts of Spain

The Academy of Performing Arts held an Extraordinary General Assembly on the afternoon of January 13 in which the new Board of Directors was decided. In the next four years it will be directed by the actress, journalist and also a graduate in Dramatic Art, Cayetana Guillén Cuervo and, a total of ten women and ten men, among whom we highlight Carmen Márquez Montes, member of IATEXT.

As ​​a novelty in this new Board of Directors, it should be noted that it has representatives from nine Autonomous Communities and also representatives from all the performing professions that are in the Academy.

Online Symposium on Territory and History 2022

This is a new symposium organized by Aarón M. Santana Cordero (University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain) where researchers working on the topic of territory and history are invited to participate with a 20-minute online presentation. PhD students are also welcome. The disciplines considered within this field of research are (although not exclusively): Historical ecology, Landscape ecology, Landscape science, Science of changes in the territory, Landscape history, Historical geography and Environmental history.

The symposium will be held on May 26, 2022, in two sessions:

morning (9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. * / 5 presentations)

afternoon (2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. * / 5 presentations)
